Tuesday 19th March
The day dawned wet, overcast and cold.
So good.
Did an empty out of the rain gauge - over the past few days we have had about 54mm rain.
The temperature had changed this morning as the southerly rolled in.
I got up earlyish and made another card.
These are two of the ones I have made in past 24 hours.

It didn't take too long to get packed once I was out of the shower.
I was taking Graham's Nissan to town this time which confused the kids.
He has lent it to me so I can give it a test drive to see how it compares as it is similar to what I am wanting to buy.
Once we managed to get all the gear into the right vehicle we were away by 10am.
Got around the road a few minutes and Shoshannah remembered her phone charger

So when we stopped to pick up Marah Anson zipped back to the house with Shanni on the quad bike.
They only took a few minutes and then we were off.
It was a noticeably less bumpy trip in the newer vehicle.
By the time we had gotten to the top of the hill Marah was sold and threatening not to give the truck back to Graham!!
The kids were not feeling great so when we got to Okiwi Bay I let them all out and sent them walking along the beach to get some fresh air.
We were in Nelson by 12:45pm.
I whizzed into Starbucks and got drinks for Marah, Mahalia & me.
Shoshannah and Azzan went off to find the food they wanted and then headed to the library.
We dropped Halia off at Sophie's.
Margaret took her to harp and then she stayed the night there.
We zipped over to Tahunanui and dropped some meat off at Sally & John's.
Marah and I had some good D&M's while we were driving.
The tears began flowing and never really stopped all day.
It was good to talk to Sally.
She has been in my shoes and understands.
After lots of hugs and tears we zipped back to the city for our 2pm appointment with Bedelia.
She gave Marah and I both a lovely pedicure and painted our nails.
It was a lovely relaxing hour.
Then just had time to meet up with Ella at Starbucks for a quick drink and catch up.
The kids met us there and then went off with Ella.
She dropped them out to Richmond for me on her way home so they could have their piano lessons and chill out.
While I went to see Hitomi at Renaissance, Marah went cruising the shops.
My hair was a total mess and I was really feeling blah!
Hitomi chopped & styled and made me into a new woman.
She also gave me a wonderful scalp massage.
Just what the doctor ordered

The skies were still sending down the damp stuff and the temperatures were distinctively cool.
I was quite glad of my jacket.
I zipped down the street, picked up Marah, fueled up the Nissan and then headed out to Seb's house.
I met up with the landscape folk there and we did a recce of the section as the boys are vacating in a couple of weeks and we need to get it ready to rent out.
If anyone is interested in renting a 3 bedroom townhouse in Nelson please let me know

They told me what they could do and told them what I wanted.
We came to an agreement that they will start work at the end of the week.
Then we came back into the city and went to see Nathan.
He was at work.
It was quiet so after he got our drinks and snacks sussed he was able to come sit down and talk with us.
We soon had several of his bosses and co-workers sitting there chilling too.
It was a rather pleasant time.
They were picking my brains as to how to make scones properly!!
Maybe I have a future occupation - training the chefs how to cook properly

By 7pm I was getting really tired so we prised ourselves away.
I dropped Marah off at her friends house and then headed out to Richmond.
On the way I had a phone call which was pretty upsetting.
I had the call on loud speaker so was able to talk and keep driving.
Also passed an accident on the Bishopdale hill.
Traffic was banked up with flashing lights from police etc directing traffic.
They were trying to turn over a red car which was lying on it's roof.
Just praying that there were no serious injuries.
I was soon back at Ross & Andrea's.
The kids were fed and happy and Andrea had dinner saved for me.
I got several emails which upset me, and on top of the phone call I had had I was feeling really stressed and upset.
The children went off to bed and I had a long talk with Phillipa on the phone while I tried to process it all.
I just do not need and cannot cope with any extra dramas right now.
I have enough just trying to keep myself and kids functioning.
