  • Thursday 4th October

     

     

     

    Pat and the boys went out for a morning hunt.

    Tim had a quieter later start to his day.

    Just as well as he was very very tired and was getting a bit grumpy.

    He and Shanni have been pushing themselves to the max for the past week.

    She was all packed for camp so was able to relax a bit and read.

    Her wee pukeko chick died over night.

    She is very pragmatic though.

    Sad cuz she really loved the wee critter but okay cuz she knows life and death are synonymous.

    She did some baking for herself and also for Tim - he wanted some baking for the mailboat driver.

     

    Tim loaded the huge water tank onto the truck and took it over the back.

    Pat and the boys went to help install it.

    It was quite windy and Tim was very careful to make sure it was tied down - he didn't want it taking off down the hill.

    It would be a non stop trip to the tide if it did!

     

    I got everything packed into the Terrano and finally packed up my own bags.

    I had a lot to get sorted cuz I was leaving home for 10 days.
